Draws from a range of theoretical texts and artistic works, combining textile and statistics literatures. Emphasizes mingling of ideas, multiple interpretations, and translations to critically represent, express, and challenge biased datasets and skewed machine learning systems.
With foundations of digital sound for digital arts applications, this course provides an overview of the history of electronic music and analyzes important works from its canon. Learn about acoustics, psychoacoustics and digital sound theory, and create your own experimental sound compositions.
Explores creative, theoretical, & historical perspectives of New Media Art. Students cultivate their own artistic vision through video lectures, online discussions and creative assignments.
Examines historical and recent examples of Internet Art, as well as the emergence of Post-Internet aesthetics.
