Burn Your Candle at Both Ends - Closing Reception

Join us this Friday, Feb 27th, from 5:00-7:00 pm for the closing reception of <em>Burn Your Candle at Both Ends</em>, an exhibition of recent work by first-year MFA candidates <strong>Cameron McGaff </strong>and <strong>Olivia Karasiewicz</strong>.&#160;<br /><br /><em>Burn Your Candle at Both Ends</em> invites viewers to consider notions of transformation, in person, material, and experience. Artists Cameron McGaff and Olivia Karasiewicz are both concerned with transformation.

Sand Point Open Studios + Rebecca Shippee&#39;s &quot;Bare Assets&quot; Opening

Please join us for this unique opportunity to visit the private studios of the Painting + Drawing MFA students and Division of Art faculty at the School&#39;s Sand Point facilities.<br /><br />We will also be celebrating the opening of <a href="https://www.rebeccashippee.net/&quot; target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rebecca Shippee</a>&#8217;s show &quot;Bare Assets&quot; in the Sand Point Gallery.

New Genres MFA Symposium

Join us for a convivial meeting of thesis research from Andrew Roibal and Chave Pichardo. Roibal and Pichardo will be presenting their artworks in conjunction with their research from their last two years in the New Genres MFA program. Roibal will be presenting his thesis with time for questions and Pichardo will be presenting their work followed by discussion with professionals that they have worked with closely.

REPRESENTATIONS: New Genres 1st Year MFA Show

Join us for the opening of <em>REPRESENTATIONS</em> featuring the work of 1st year New Genres grad students, Jayden Dukes and Lucy Leonis, on Friday, February 20th from 5pm to 7pm.&#160;<br /><br />REPRESENTATIONS creates a dialogue around what expectations and standards are set for us and how artworks can be used to redefine these agreements. Through their work, both Leonis and Dukes, seek to find the deeper questions rooted in our understanding of the representational.&#160;<br /><br />This event is free and open to the public.

2026 MFA + MDes Thesis Exhibition

The Henry is pleased to present the University of Washington&#39;s School of Art + Art History + Design Master of Fine Arts and Master of Design Thesis Exhibition. Throughout their programs, fine arts and design students work with advisers and other artists to develop advanced techniques, expand concepts, discuss critical issues, and emerge with a vision and direction for their own work.

3D4M Glass Show

Explore the artwork of 3D4M students working in glass, ranging from Glassblowing, Flame work, Casting,&#160; Fusing, and more. Event will be held at the North Gallery in the&#160;Ceramic + Metal Arts Building (CMA).<br /><br />This event is&#160;free and open to the public.

Carly Sheehan: CYCLES

Please join us for an exhibition where Carley Sheehan installed work in the Sandpoint Gallery that began during her residency at Surf Point (York, ME) this past fall and continued to develop in her studio. This body of work includes collaged works of drawings, monotypes, and paintings influenced by the Maine coast, the tide schedule during herresidency, Beverly Hallam&#8217;s archives, and her time in Seattle over the past year.
