<p>UW Drama alumni have long been known for their ingenuity and entrepreneurship, and those qualities persist in our graduates, even in this time of social distancing. Here's a sampling of some of the work our alumni are doing that you can enjoy from the safety of whatever isolation bubble you might be in. <p>Meet Kyu C. Lee, a School of Drama alum who graduated with a BA in Drama in 2000. Today he is the founder of a production company in Los Angeles and Seoul, Korea, after more than a decade at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
<p>Jake Seniuk (MFA 1983) had a long career in the arts, but his biggest impact was as director-curator of the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center from 1989 to his retirement in 2012. He mounted more than 150 exhibitions and had made significant progress on a book of exhibition essays before his untimely passing in 2016. The project was picked up by his long-time partner, Donna James, and curator/writer/editor Kathleen Moles (a former staff member in the School).
<h2>Background</h2>
<p>Maurice Woods completed a BFA in Graphic Design in 1995 and then an MFA in Visual Communication Design in 2005. While a graduate student, he created the Inneract Project (IP), which has the tag line "Empowering the Next Generation of Black and Brown Designers." Since IP recently celebrated its fifteenth anniversary, we spoke with Woods about his early years as a designer, the creation of IP, and its future.</p>
<h2>Interview</h2>
<p>Today we have bittersweet news to share. Professor Tim Bond, an alum of the UW School of Drama’s Professional Director Training Program (MFA 1983) who has taught acting and directing at the School of Drama since 2016, will become the new Artistic Director of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. Bond will take the helm from founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley, who will have served an extraordinary fifty seasons in that role when he steps down in June 2020.</p>

Numerous installations in Lake Union Park addressed issues related to BALANCE, this year's festival theme. Three projects listed below involved School-affiliated people.</p>
