Dawg Daze: Performing Arts Open House

<p><span>All new and returning Huskies are invited to join us for our annual Dawg Daze Performing Arts Open House, Friday September 20th 1:30 - 3:30 PM. Come by and learn all about how to get involved in the performing arts at UW. Representatives from the Schools of Drama and Music, as well as performing arts-related student organizations like the Undergraduate Theater Society, Stage Notes, The Collective Improv, Arts Diversity Council, Dance Student Association, and more will be on hand to answer questions and fill you in on opportunities.

Diana Trotter: Monologue Audition PART ONE

<p><span>How to find, cut, and craft a stand-out monologue to power your auditions. Diana Trotter is a seasoned, award-winning director, actress, and education. In this first session, she will take participants through a process to custom-cut monologues that highlight each individual actor and, more importantly, help you learn to love monologue auditions! She will also address how to approach songs as monologues, cut and craft them using the same process, and deliver them with a strong sense of character and intention.

Unity Museum presents: Rainn Wilson

The event is free and open to all.</p>

Coffee and Concepts: Savage Conversations

<p>The Center for Performance Studies is happy to announce that the Native American playwright <strong>LeAnne Howe</strong> will be a guest at Coffee and Concepts next Friday, January 24, 2:00-4:00, at Hutchinson 154. This event follows the <a href="/events/2020-01-22/staged-reading-savage-conversations">staged reading of her new play <em>Savage Conversations</em>, which will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 6:00 - 8:00, at the Henry Art Gallery</a>.

<p>You are invited to a virtual showcase of the work of graduating costume, lighting, scenic, and sound designers, as well as stage managers, from the University of Washington School of Drama, Seattle University Theatre, and Cornish College of the Arts Performance Production.</p>
